"You promised, alright? You need to keep your promise," I said. 

"Don't worry. I will keep my promise. I always listen to my lovely wife, don't I?" he chuckled and kissed my palm that was against his cheek. 

'Not always. There are times when you listen to no one but yourself.' 

"I... I have something else to tell you as well," I muttered. 

"Yes?" 

"Uh... Actually, when I was working this afternoon in my office, Mother came," I said. 

"Mother? Why? Without letting you know first?" 

"It was sudden. It turned out she had come to have snacks with me. She brought those savory snacks since I don't like sweets much." 

"Did you take the antidote first?"
