A week later...
Vivian opened her eyes slowly and stared at the ceiling for seconds before moving her head to the side. Her eyes fell on Jane who had slept off on the chair next to where she lay and she stared at her face before a smile came to form on her lips. She raised her body up from the bed and groaned when she felt a pain in her stomach. She raised the top of her cloth a little and looked down on her stomach. She saw that there was a sticking plaster on it and she sighed. She was glad that Jane was alive and grateful to be alive to see her. Maybe this was her second chance of life, to start together with her real family and real friends.
She didn’t want to interrupt Jane’s sleep so she decided to stroll rather than staying in bed. She got up from the bed and walked to the door, giving one last look at Jane before opening the door and shutting it gently after walking out.
