Today was finally the day Wolde Samuel will train the kids and Emanuel be the instructor. Wolde Samuel was thinking on apologizing to Tsege for snapping at her for no reason. In fact, he was laughing at himself.
Emanuel was half way healed now and he can move his arm but not as much as he used to and he gets frustrated.
He and Tsege were walking to the place where the training is going to take place when they run into Wolde Samuel.
Tsege glared at him and continued walking away with her fiancé, with Wolde Samuel behind them. Emanuel checked behind him and saw Wolde Samuel following them.
Grambling under his breath, he proceeded his walk but Wolde Samuel is following them and that made Emanuel stop from walking after sometime making Wolde Samuel crash on Emanuel's back.
"Can't you see where you are going?"
"Sorry." came the unexpected reply from Wolde Samuel, which made Emanuel raise his eyebrows in return.
'You idiot! That was supposed to be for Tsege, not for that fool'
Wolde Samuel cleared his throat and walked past the couple.
"Well, that was unexpected…" Emanuel voiced out, pulling Tsege out of her own world. She shakes her head to get rid of the thought that that sorry was for her, but then it was for Emanuel.
"Judging by his personality, it's very unexpected." was her reply.
They both finally reached their destination only to find the kids with Wolde Samuel talking to them. He was talking about what they are going to do and what he expects them to do.
Emanuel walked to Wolde Samuel, confused once Wolde Samuel was done with his talking.
"What do you think you are doing?"
'Right! I didn't tell him!' Tsege thought.
Wolde Samuel was already staring at her, confused.
"What are you looking at?" this made him stop staring at her.
"I am the new trainer here if you heard nothing from her or her father." Wolde Samuel replied, making Emanuel stare at her.
"Yeahhhh… it slipped my mind haha," she said while laughing.
Shrugging, Emanuel walked behind Wolde Samuel in the thought that Tsege will follow him, but Wolde Samuel grabbed her wrist, stopping her from walking away.
She looked up at him and raised her eyebrow in questioning what he was doing right now.
"Uhhhhhh…"
"When are we going to start the training?" an exited voice said.
"Oh, you won't be exited when you finish the training!" saying that she moved past him.
"Okay! Now, we are going to start with a warmup."
The kids copied every move he makes.
"Good job! Now we are going to start the main training. Grab a sword and make five lines." Once they are done, he spoke again.
"When you are having a sword fight, one thing you mustn't do is exposing you chest my holding you sword up high above your head. This position will open an opportunity for your opponent to strike you right on your chest and you will die easily." All kids nodded their head in understanding what he meant and some with admiration.
"So, what you will need to do is to hold you sword at you sides. Also, one more thing before we start the practical, never turn you back on your opponent and don't underestimate them. Always expect the unexpected." With that, the real training started.
It would be a lie if Emanuel says he was unimpressed. He had to save his jaw from falling to the ground thousand times.
For once he is grateful that he is hurt or else he would have been embarrassed by his skills compared to Wolde Samuel or so he thought.
Tsege was also impressed and couldn't stop staring at him.
'Why do these moves looks so familiar?
Where do I know this…?' she was in a deep thought until she heard Emanuel's voice.
"What are you staring at?"
"Nothing… but his moves look so familiar…"
"What?" Emanuel became on full alert when he heard that.
"No, no, it's okay… I might be mistaken for him for our old trainer… they both are good at sword fighting haha." She said while laughing but she was feeling very uneasy about it even if she looks confident and calm outside and Emanuel was buying it.
Emanuel was very disappointed at himself the moment Wolde Samuel finished the training. He was planning on nitpicking on everything Wolde Samuel was saying but he got carried away and everything Wolde Samuel said was true and correct that he should use it in a war.
On the other hand, Tsege was thinking where she saw that kind of skill. She is sure that she saw it recently buy she can't remember where.
'Could it be the guy that with a mask?' she asked herself, wondering.
'No. he wouldn't do that. He will never do that. I am sure that he has something to do than rescuing me…' she is uncertain about it.
'Wait… if he is the masked guy… that means I will have to forgive him? No, no, no, no, that can't be happening! He shouldn't deserve my forgiveness… I don't care about him and he doesn't care about me and that's what it will be for the rest of the time he is here…'
While she was having a chat with herself, Wolde Samuel stole a glance at her and he could tell that she is in a deep thought and Emanuel was glaring at him.
"What's his problem?" with that he glared back at him and went to his cottage.
Emanuel could sense that something happened between these two but he kept brushing it off saying 'It's probably nothing.' But he couldn't help it but doubt that it's nothing.
'I will disappoint her if I ask her about that… should have more faith in her… I shouldn't doubt her if anything I can do.'
With his mind set on that, he and Tsege went their separate ways as Emanuel has some work to do with her father and her to hang out with her best friend.
