Three years later,
"I am back," I mutter to myself as I yarn softly at the airport. She stretched her squeeze body; honestly, I thought I was going to die in that plane
She had traveled with the packed plan instead of the first class her teachers wanted her to take. Who knows what they plan for her there.
Rose took in the fresh scent of NY as she made her way to the frontier; no one was waiting for her because there weren't expecting her today but next week. She is no longer a kid that needs to be taken care of; she is a full-grown woman now.
"Taxi?" I holler
A yellow taxi stopped in front of me, as I climb in, "Where to ma?"
"Oh. Take me to the Black estate." I replied him but he just stared
"The Black estate, you say?"
"Yes, is there a problem?" I ask not fully understand his question.
"Oh no." he replied then turn to the starring "It just that, the Black Estate is one of the biggest estate here in NY, and there are pretty rich too."
"Oh, Is that so?" I replied, seriously, what happened the past three years. When I left home, we weren't that famous.
"Sorry ma! But huh, if I may; are you a family member or a relative of the Blacks?"
Annoyed, "And what are you? The New York press manager?"
"Oh no, ma, I am just..."
"You know with such questions you are sounding suspicious." I said cutting him off, seriously I just came home after three years and this is what I have to deal with? Just how wealthy is my family now? "If you must know, I am a police detective from Paris, and I 'm on a mission but if you insist, I don't mind taking you to the office to answer your question Mr. Driver."
"What? No, I was just curious. The Black estate, you said?" the asked nervously
"Yes."
"Well, then here we go." He said, and kicks off.
"Thank you." I replied.
Rose at the back of taxi, couldn't help but smile when she thought of the expression her mother will make, when she'll see her alive and healthy, It's being expected after everything she had put me through.
She thought and sank into the back seat of the taxi with her eyes closed, she couldn't help but signed as the unfortunate and pained experience of doctoring training flooded through her mind.
