Chapter 33: Dowry and payment.
Kai Fengjun was wearing a black fitting suit with a white shirt inside and his long hair was tied at the end. He scanned around the restaurant to look for a place to sit while he waited for his sister who was on her way here too.
Not to far from him, he saw someone staring at him. It was the lady he didn't wish to meet ever again. Lin Qinqing was here too.
Lin Qinqing smiled when he saw her. She was already smiling for a long time in case he looked her way. She had already concluded in her mind that he didn't recognize her. He was a busy man who has alot to do.
The incident was embarrassing that day when he banned her from going to Purity.
A lot of thoughts kept running through her mind. Should she or should she not invite him to come and sit with them?
"Qinqing, I think he knows you,he's been looking this side for a long time," a friend of hers said.
"This bag from K collections, is owned by his aunt, he is Kai Fengjun," another spoke of the obvious.
Kai Fengjun was known all over as a great young businessman, entrepreneur, rich heir and so on. It was common to see him on different business magazines and on TV.
Lin Qinqing suddenly thought of something and called the waiter. She ordered an expensive bottle of red wine and attached a note to it.
Then she told the waiter to give it to Kai Fengjun.
"Han Li, what did you find?" Lehan asked.
"The one responsible for the incident at Flower Village was Miss Lin Meilin," he reported his information. She might have planned to eliminate Miss Yue Ling because of jealousy. The Lin family hospital was doing badly at that time regarding the research.
"Interesting, Han Li, am I too kind these days," he asked. People seemed to be taking advantage of him and those he cared for.
Han Li thought of what to say in this situation.
Lehan was a complicated man. He suffered from a condition that displayed mania/ bipolar as a symptom. It could also be the main illness but strangely enough, it wasn't the illness itself.
Now, throughout all the years Han Li has been with Lehan, he had seen just how cruel he could get at his limit. Lin Meilin was in for it.
"Take the money she is keeping in her accounts for now, withdraw everything," Lehan said.
Han Li was surprised because this punishment was considered too light because she had almost killed or caused harm to his boss. Lehan was also too rich to lack money.
"Boss, why are you doing this instead of something more serious, maybe we could do more than that and still take the money?" Han Li suggested to improve the plan.
"This isn't it just yet, everything else can come later, the money is dowry and payment for later," Lehan said as he smiled.
Han Li didn't understand what Lehan was trying to say.
"Dowry and payment?" he asked.
"Exactly, now stop asking questions and get to work," Lehan said as he stood up and walked away.
Han Li remained thinking of what he heard, Lehan hadn't been dating but his statement meant he was saving dowry for someone. Could it be Lin Yue Ling he wants to marry? He didn't know what to think of the combination of the two people he feared deep inside.
One was his scary boss while the other was a mysterious lady.
Han Li scratched his head as he prepared to get their people to hack Lin Meilin's bank accounts and drain out all her money.
The waiter took the wine ordered to the table where Kai Fengjun had just sat at. Ordering something for someone was normally done to show kindness or affection and many had done it. He was also getting a large tip for doing this job.
"Sir, this is from the lady over there," he said as he showed the wine bottle and pointed at Lin Qinqing.
Kai Fengjun smiled and took it. Even if he didn't like the girl, he still had a reputation to maintain. There are certain things that shouldn't be done to a lady in public to prevent embarrassing her, not that he cared about Lin Qinqing but he didn't want to give her a chance to be the victim at any cost.
At that time, Kai Lin Ya entered the hotel and searched for her brother. She sat on the chair at his table and greeted him.
The two siblings were close but didn't meet alot because Kai Lin Ya was usually out of the country. She had also left with Yue Ling back then years ago.
So whenever she was in the country, the two went out and spent time together.
"What is this,you drink wine these days?"she said as she took the bottle. On closer inspection,she saw a note that read," your presence is welcomed."
"Haha, look who's famous," she joked.
Kai Fengjun didn't say anything and smiled seeing her childishness.
"Which table sent this?" she asked.
"Why are you asking?" Let's order, eat and leave. Kai Fengjun said. He didn't want anybody interfering with his bonding time with his sister.
"Come on brother, let me see if the lady is good enough for you," Kai Lin Ya insisted.
"Really, don't say I didn't warn you?" he said as he smiled. There is no way his sister was going to like the girl. She was mean, proud, arrogant and fake.
"Over there," he said pointing at the table.
The two women locked gazes at each other.
When Lin Qinqing saw a lady sitting next to Kai Fengjun, she became bothered. It didn't look good but rather presumptuous that she assumed he was alone and sent him a bottle of wine with a note.
The lady who sat next to him was beautiful, elegant and possessed expensive things.
Their tables weren't far apart so she could see everything clearly. Kai Fengjun and the woman interacted well like they had known each other for a while.
Painfully, the expensive wine she bought wasn't even opened by Kai Fengjun but by the woman who even went ahead to taste it like it was hers. The friends who were encouraging her looked like they really wanted to laugh but were holding it.
And for the last stroke, she got to see the woman's face clearly. It was the lawyer who accompanied Lin Yue Ling to their home last time.
Kai Lin Ya didn't hide the dislike in her eyes as she stared at Lin Qinqing. How can a girl like her think she can be with her brother?
The woman had disrespected Yue Ling the last time so she didn't like her. The girl's mother even tried to hurt Yue Ling.
Seeing Lin Qinqing looking at her with the same hatred, she understood what the brainless girl was thinking. That she had come on a date with her brother.
Few people knew Kai Lin Ya as a member of the Kai family because she wasn't publicly introduced. She also didn't stay in the country too long so she didn't attend the banquets and parties her family held. The public only knew her brother and that there was also a heiress in the family.
