“Flynn, where were you?”

“In the subway station. I have no idea how I ended up there. What about you?”

“Lying on the ground not far from the subway station,” Gage replied. “But you and Calian weren’t there so I ran around to search for both of you. Where’s Calian?”

“No clue, baby. We have to find him. I don’t know where we are or why we’re here, but Calian is most likely in danger.”

Gage panicked, but he forced himself to remain calm as he and Flynn were holding hands while they dashed around aimlessly. “What makes you think so?”

“I’m not positive, but something inside is telling me this may be Calian’s final trial.”

“Shit!”

Gage didn’t have any doubt about Flynn’s assessment of the situation. He knew how intuitive Flynn was, and most importantly, he trusted his boyfriend. He remained quiet as they continued to jog from one place to another. It wasn’t long before he realized that the two of them were reaching Grand Central Station.
