For several heartbeats, he simply gazed at her, overcome with awe. Her head came barely to his shoulder, a head crowned with a cascade of cocoa-colored waves that spilled down over her slender body, to her waist and even past that. She wore a black garment, brief and close fitting as a second skin. Her legs and arms were bare, her skin a rich, warm, tan shade that almost begged to be touched. She looked up at the two of them with huge dark eyes as a slight smile danced across her plump pink lips.

After a couple of deep breaths, Darren found his voice. “I’m Darren Hathcock and this is my partner Darryl Winstead. Could you spare a few minutes? We have some very important knowledge to share with you. We want to offer you the blissful rewards of eternal life in paradise and a chance to join in the building of the new kingdom of righteousness here on earth.”
