Nick thought about the home his parents had left him. Far too big, far too fancy with a team of servants looking after it. Every time Nick stepped into the place, he felt like he was not a member of the house. It didn’t feel like a home at all. It was just a simple shell.

Jamie took out his keys and unlocked the door, glancing over his shoulder at Nick.

“It’s not much, but it’s ours.”
