“There are short-term side effects and potential long-term side effects. The short term effects are about the same as those caused by any other type of high-dose combination of chemo and radiation. They can be severe. The side effects can include low blood cell counts with fatigue and increased risks of infection and bleeding, nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, mouth sores, diarrhea, and hair loss,” Marjorie told him.

“And the long-term side effects are?” Enzo persisted.
