“Good riddance,” Riordan muttered at Dillon.

Dillon laughed. “Riordan!”

“You must have the same thoughts as I do.”

“I do indeed,” Dillon indeed. “Now, I can focus on my work instead of getting distracted by Warren.”

“I’ll stay here, babe. Don’t worry about a thing. I’ll keep you safe.”

Dillon smiled and got up before pressing a kiss on Riordan’s lips for a short moment. Then he returned to the counter just in time to greet a couple of customers who had just entered the teahouse. He needed to push all thoughts about Warren to the back of his mind for the time being. It was pointless anyway. He would have to wait for some future developments. Besides, nothing might happen, and Warren could turn out to be an innocent person. Possibly.9

“I love this.”

Riordan, who was lying on his back, turned toward Darby on his right side. “What are you referring to? The moon and the stars?”

Darby smiled. “Yeah, and being able to enjoy the view while I have you and Dillon on either side of me.”
