Connor felt proud of himself. The dinner date with Harley turned out to be one of his better ideas so far. Harley seemed a lot more relaxed by the time they finished their meal, and also appeared enthusiastic as they drove toward the bay area for the festival. They held hands all the way to their destination. As usual, they didn’t have to pay attention to the road because Connor used his power to make sure the car got them there safely.

“We’re here,” Connor announced several moments later.

Harley nodded fast and hard, obviously excited. “Let’s get our lanterns now.”
