The doubts and worries plagued him for the rest of the day. He attempted to put them at the back of his mind and focus on his students instead, but it was easier said than done. Moreover, he was exhausted from the lack of sleep. He’d only reached home sometime close to one in the morning. He groaned out loud when he remembered that he would be meeting up with Moira and Aurelius again around six o’clock that evening. It might end up being another long evening. He drove home at around half-past four, feeling more tired than he usually did.
“Grams?” he half-yelled as he stepped into the house.
“I’m in the living room.”
“Okay. What’s for…” he trailed off when he saw that Moira and Aurelius were already seated on either side of his grandmother. “You two are early. I thought we had agreed to meet up at six o’clock. It’s not even five yet.”
“Hey, handsome. You look even hotter today.”
“Hey, Moira,” he answered with a roll of his eyes. “And you haven’t answered my question.”
