“Oh yes….”Noah hummed and turned his head to nip at Dallas’s neck.

“Can we talk first?”Dallas asked,even though a full-body shiver traveled through him.

“Yeah.”Noah sighed and nodded,and they moved on to sit on Noah’s bed.

“I want you to know I’m not a coward anymore,”Dallas said first,shaking his head at Noah when the jaguar was going to open his mouth to say something.

“No,I really mean it.When I left you…I was so afraid.I used all the excuses I could to not be the man you needed me to be after Joe died.”Dallas turned his gaze to the plaid comforter,feeling the old failures rushing over him.

“Dallas,look at me,”Noah asked,reaching for his hand.When Dallas did as he was asked,Noah continued.“I was so hurt for a long time…there’s nothing that can erase that.But they’re also just memories.What we have now,what we’re building now,is so much more,and it’s so good,Dallas.”
