“So that’s Stephan,” Glen said.

“Yeah…” Aiden sighed.

“Well, I can see why you wanted to hook up with him, but if he’s always like that, I’m not entirely sure why you stuck with him. I understand completely why you left, but…”

“No, it’s okay. I ask myself that same question a lot. I guess…I guess I thought since he was so keen to have sex with me he must have some feelings, and maybe the more he got to know me the more likely he would be to, I don’t know, magically change into Prince Charming.”

Glen bit his lip. “I don’t think a lobotomycould pop that guy’s ego.”

Aiden snorted. “He would probably just complain that the consequential scar was hard to cover up without a hat.”

They both laughed. Glen pulled Aiden into a hug. “Seriously, call me if he gets on your case again. I’ll tell Max it’s an emergency then ignore him when he tells me it can wait.”

“Yeah, speaking of which, you should get going.” Aiden gave Glen a grateful squeeze. “I love you.”
