He led me to two other rooms, one a home gym, the other an office, then we went upstairs.

“There are four bedrooms up here. The master is at the far end.” He turned to face me on the landing. “If you want to spend the night in separate rooms, that’s not a problem. I just want you to be comfortable. Having you here with me is more than I—mmphf.”
