“I don’t see anything funny about this situation, babe.”

“I’m not amused by Percy’s disappearance,” Diego explained. “I’m tickled by what Naomi said to us before she left.”

Gregory looked confused. “I don’t understand.”

“Me either,” Ashton muttered staring intently at Diego.

“We can’t ride in the police cars, but she doesn’t mention anything about us following them. We probably have to be discreet about it, though.”

“Are you sure we can do that?” Rohan asked.

“Yeah,” Diego answered. “Naomi sort of fluttered her eyes at me. At first, I thought I must have imagined it. Or maybe something might have gotten inside her eye or something. Then I thought more about what she said.”

Gregory burst out laughing. “That’s an excellent idea.”

Ashton nodded. “Let’s go then. What are we waiting for?”
