“The question is simple,” Rémy said in a soft voice. “Will you eat with me tonight?”

Ian decided to give in to his impulse. He really liked Rémy. Even if it never went anywhere, he’d at least have this one night on a real date. “Uh…yea…yes, I’ll be there, but you have to give me the address.” Ian felt the blush rise from his neck.

“I’ll send my car and driver.” Rémy went in a little closer until his chest almost touched Ian’s back.

Ian turned to face Rémy and protested, “I have my van. I can drive.”

Rémy’s voice was firm. “I’d rather pick you up and know you will be safe going home. This way you can have wine with dinner.”

“Okay, I can see that.” Ian wanted to agree with Rémy even though he knew he was playing with fire.

“Your address?” Rémy searched in one of the kitchen drawers and came out with a pad and pencil.

“167 Chandler Street in Far Rockaway,” Ian stammered.

“Luc will be there at six thirty. We’ll have cocktails at seven and eat dinner at seven thirty.”
