Colin’s eyes opened wide, and his mouth hung open. He rubbed his eyes and stared. “Oh my God…oh my God.” Colin had to take deep breaths. He was afraid he was going to faint.

Colin, don’t be alarmed. It’s me. You’re hearing my voice in your head. It’s the mate link. I’m a loup garou, and you are my mate. Colin could feel the wolf lick his face and nuzzle his neck. See I love you in this form, too.

Colin opened his eyes slowly, hearing Marc silent voice. He knew it was a cliché, but he pinched himself and yes, it hurt. He stared at the creature above him again. This huge animal, four times the size of a regular wolf, sat on the floor next to the couch lolling his tongue.

Can you hear me, Colin?

Colin nodded his head slowly.

Do you want me to change back?Colin nodded his head again, still speechless.

The wolf blurred and became a naked Marc once more.
