At six, Julio and the Mates had their dinner in the family breakfast room. Bianca served two legs of lamb in a port wine reduction, potatoes, and four kinds of vegetable sides including the green beans and bacon that Julio liked so much. For dessert, they ate mini chocolate volcanos with whipped and ice cream.
Julio had moved into the master suite with Etienne, his clothing unpacked and placed next to Etienne’s in the dressing room. By eight Julio was starving again, and Bianca brought up crispy fish and chips with onion rings, brownie sundaes, and four cans of Coke to put in the fridge.
“I’ll be back in an hour,” Bianca said over her shoulder. And so it went until her final visit at eleven with a hamburger and fries, chocolate chip cookies, and a chocolate milk shake. She brought enough cookies for the Mates to take back to their room. “Shoo, all of you. Julio has to get ready for Etienne.”
