Julio scrubbed at the dirt the pit left on Etienne’s feet and stroked his neck and chest with the sponge. “The rest of this I will leave to you, my love. I’m going back to the room to dress. I’ll meet you in the study in thirty minutes. That’s where I put Armand and Sean.”

Thirty minutes later, Julio knocked at the door to the study. “It’s Alpha Mate Julio. Does The Alpha Mate need anything else?”

“Come in, Julio,” Armand called out. Business was done.

He entered the study and called for fresh coffee and another pot of tea for Sean. Bianca had thoughtfully brought The Alpha tea sandwiches and pastries. Julio had remembered to provide them for the library but not the study.

“Is Etienne doing well?” Armand asked. “Killing Maurice was very hard for him.”

“I had him shower then I washed him in the bathtub. His clothing was on his bed. I asked that he meet us here in thirty minutes. That was about twenty minutes ago since I needed time to change too.”
