Chapter 59: Reunited

Gweyir walked through a field towards where she guessed would be Redgate when she came upon something she didn't know how to make heads or tails of.

It was clear something very large had laid in the grass where she stood. It was also clear that aforementioned something had lost a tremendous amount of blood. In the blood soaked and stained dirt she could make out the set of two distinct sets of imprints. One was shoeless and would be a female human. The other was wearing shoes but male based on the size and depth of the imprint.

She would guess this is where the dragon had come and died. A male set of prints made sense to her if Mikax had been the one doing the killing but a shoeless female left her confused.

She also found no clues or signs of Gora. The only thing she could do was move forward following the two sets of foot prints back in the direction she believed was toward the town.
