Chapter 84: MAINTAIN A DISTANCE FROM GERALD!

"Father?" Theodora entered Lord Ralph's office, only to find him dozing off on the couch.

He was not getting proper sleep these days as he spent most of his time by his wife's side. Theodora felt bad for her father. She tried to make him sleep and eat properly, but the man didn't listen.

She thought of returning back and not disturbing him, but she needed to talk to him urgently. She neared him and then tapped on his shoulder gently.

"Father?"

"Cordelia! Cor-" He startled out of sleep, his eyes wide with fear and his face pale.

Theodora's heart twisted painfully to see her father's state. She had never seen him so scared before. For her, he was the strongest pillar of her life. She could rely on him for anything and everything.

No matter how dangerous the situation was, he had always been standing between the problems and his family, shielding them, protecting them.

And today, he was so scared that he waited to hear a piece of bad news.
