Chapter 10: 10. Answer my question

Shadow immediately got out of there before everyone realized that she was the murderer. She got out by mixing into the panicked crowd so that no one would recognise her.

Lucas's car has arrived at the parking area. His face looks pale. Blood can even be seen on his shirt. He walks slowly until his steps stop when he sees someone come out.

The two of them looked into each other's eyes. Shadow can clearly see that Lucas' face is very pale. She glanced left and right but found no one, making her sure that the man had come by himself.

Did you kill him?" Lucas asked while holding his stomach, where his stitches were open. He feels pain and realises that he needs medical help.

Shadow didn't answer, but glanced at the man in front of him, looking at his wound.

Did you kill him?" Lucas asked again in a loud voice, making him wince in pain.

It looks like you didn't take good care of your wound.

"Don't change the subject and stop messing with me," Lucas growled, pointing a gun at Shadow.

The woman in front of her remained silent, as if Lucas' threat was meaningless.

"Huh! "You are such a serious man, I can't even have a small talk with you," Shadow said, crossing his arms over her chest.

"Shit! Answer my question. I don't want to play games with you. Are you the one who killed him in front of so many people?" Lucas asked again.

The look in his eyes was so serious that it could be seen that he would not hesitate to pull the trigger of his weapon.

"Hmm. That might be true, "Shadow said casually, making Lucas furious.

He really doesn't want to joke at this moment, but the woman in front of him won't stop prodding him.

"Stop playing with me, I won't hesitate to shoot you now," Lucas said firmly.

Lucas, who heard the answer, immediately shot Shadow without knowing that the woman in front of him was the woman who was with him on the cruise ship. The bullet almost hit her. Thankfully, all of the training Shadow went through made it easy for her to avoid it.

Lucas can see that Shadow notices that they have a bugging difference in strength because of EOF's injury. That made Lucas suddenly throw his knife, hitting Shadow.

"Shit... he's not an easy opponent," Shadow cursed, holding his now bloody arm. I was unlucky when I met him. Maybe he is bad luck, "Shadow cursed in her heart.

Lucas looks exhausted after just completing an attack on Shadow, making her look at him. Blood is even dripping on the basement floor.

"Tsk! Your wound hasn't healed yet, and you want to fight me? You should rest for a few days. Why did you choose to work? "It seems that you're curious and want to know who I really am," Shadow said and winked at Lucas.

"Y-you are Shadow?" Lucas asked. He still doesn't believe what he is seeing. How can the woman in front of him be her shadow?

Shadow nodded, confirming Lucas's guess. "Correct."

"Ah, This is a disguise, "Shadow said." She doesn't want to explain further since it's a private matter. "Looks like we're still on different sides." Shadow said.

What are you? "Man or woman?" Lucas asked curiously.

Shadow immediately laughed at Lucas's question; she thinks it's hilarious. Will you be embarrassed if I'm actually a man? " Shadow asked. "But, I will tell you if we meet again," Shadow said again.

"Can you let me go?" Shadow asked.

"Pffttt... but I'm at work," Lucas said, making Shadow a little annoyed.

Well, if that's the case, don't blame me.

She has to get out of there, but she has to beat Lucas first. Killing him might be easy, but she doesn't want to kill someone who isn't her target.

The Shadow shoots at Lucas. Lucas tried to dodge the bullet, but the real weapon was a needle smeared with anesthetic. The needle hit Lucas's vital point, rendering him immobile.

"You let your guard down. Good for you, I don't kill someone who isn't my target, "Shadow said, moving closer and taking her acupuncture needle. "You'll be able to move in 10-15 minutes," Shadow said. This time, I will inject this medicine first. Just assume that it's because you let me off the hook this time. "This medicine will make your wounds heal in a few days," Shadow said, and then completely disappeared from there.

Lucas watched Shadow's face while using a disguise. Why did the woman help him? After all, he is the man who will catch her.

Shadow's footsteps disappeared. "Tsk! This woman Fine... I won't go after you this time. Just think of it as a thank you for helping me last night, "Lucas said with a small smile, feeling his wound.

A while later, the medicine injected by Shadow started to work. His head felt heavy and he slowly drifted off to sleep from the anesthetic.

The live broadcast that killed the presidential candidate took everyone by surprise. Even some government officials were afraid that they would suffer the same fate, and hired bodyguards.

Many on social media are talking about the murder. Some call her a hero, and others call her a cruel killer.
