Chapter 159: Aragon, on the field - 2

He kicked the soldier in front of him and, with a swift movement, he sprinted towards Merlena. 

Breathless and startled by Aragon's unexpected appearance, he said to her, "Listen to me." His voice cut through the chaos, reaching Merlena's ears. Despite her preoccupation with defending herself, she strained to comprehend his words.

"What happened, Aragon?" She urgently questioned him, her voice carrying a mix of confusion and concern. Engaged in combat, she struggled to divert her attention fully towards him, her gaze steadfastly fixed on the relentless assault of the enemy.

Aragon, undeterred by the ferocity of the fight, maintained his composure. Aragon replied to Merlena's query, his voice cutting through the clamor of clashing swords and war cries. 

"Take the men and the injured too, and leave the ground." Merlena, still embroiled in the melee, found it difficult to turn her attention fully towards him, her frustration evident in her response.
