Ethan leaned against the wall of the carriage house, stifling a yawn. It was another night spent guarding empty carriages while chaos was swirling outside.

At least the moon was bright tonight. Ethan had always liked evenings like this: peaceful surroundings, a beautiful landscape, and a sense of security within the palace grounds.

However, he could not bring himself to relax too much.
