Ruptured Soul
Every year we reunite.
We laugh together.
We see things together.
We live with each other.
Then we leave and my soul ruptures.
Each time we spend in Brighton.
Memories are made.
Fudge is eaten.
Much tea is drunk.
Then we leave and my soul ruptures.
Every meal we share.
There is warmth.
There is love.
There is a bond.
But then we leave and my soul ruptures.
Each street we walk down.
The steps are unique.
All roads lead to Brighton.
My soul is complete.
I can't wait to go home.
