“So…you were hiding away from us?” Hertha drifted through the grove and landed beside Nathaniel. “Brother…do you actually hate us…this much?”
“That's not it,” Nathaniel sighed and muttered. “Just when things…were going so well...”
“Going so well?” Hertha asked as she eyed Rosheia with curiosity. “Do you mean…”
“Nothing,” Nathaniel shook his head and turned to Selena. “What do you want now?”
Selena narrowed her emerald eyes, “When did you have the audacity to talk to me like that?”
Nathaniel slightly lowered his head for a moment before glaring back at her, “Things are no longer the same.”
“Oh, do explain what exactly is not the same,” Selena said.
Nathaniel pulled Rosheia at his side, “I have her now.”
“So?” Selena said with a contemptuous smile. “You are still my dog in the end.”
Rosheia squeezed between the two and pushed her away, “Don’t insult him!”
“Peasant woman! How dare you lay a hand on me!” Selena raised an arm.
