Chapter 3: The Pill Which Can Heal Anything

At the shop's entrance, Tian Cai sat with his eyes closed after taking the pill. Fang Chen had gone inside the shop to check the reward for having his first customer. Sitting on the chair, Fang Chen asked the system for the rewards.

"Host, congratulations on completing your first system mission and receiving the system reward. Host, congratulations on obtaining your first customer and taking the first step on the road to becoming the best shop owner."

Fang Chen was excited. The calm exterior he displayed earlier had completely disappeared. He couldn't help but think about what reward he would get.

The screen appeared in front of him, showing the rewards that Fang Chen had obtained. After seeing the screen, the expression on Fang Chen's face slowly turned from excited to expressionless.

"What the hell? Why am I getting eyes for appraisal? Don't I have the shop for that?" Fang Chen was disappointed. He thought that he would unlock something in the other counters, but it was eyes used for appraisal, which he didn't need as the shop already provided the same function.

"The Yin & Yang Divine Eyes are for you to help in seeing the information about the items. Do you think that you can carry your shop every time you go outside? You never know when you might find an item with huge profit potential. It will help you find perfect items."

The system explained the difference between the shop's appraisal and the eyes. Fang Chen was slightly embarrassed; he hadn't thought about it before questioning the system. After all, when he goes to the market, how can he see the value of the items?

"How can I use it?"

"You just have to think, and you will be able to see everything about the item."

"The Yin & Yang Divine Eyes seem amazing!" Fang Chen blinked in surprise. A smile appeared on his expressionless face.

He didn't hesitate. He moved to the main counter and took out the pill. Keeping it in front of him, Fang Chen told the system to activate the eyes.

Function: It can heal anything, but there are conditions.

Price: 20 Spirit Stones

Fang Chen was shocked to see the information about the pill. He thought it was a simple healing pill. He couldn't help but get excited thinking about the other nine things still hidden on the main counter.

The system assigned a mission to Fang Chen.

To make a profit of 100 spirit stones within a week, he would need to sell all remaining pills, but then only he would reach the target. He had to think of buying some things from the market and see if his luck was any good.

After he built the shop, the system had told him about another way to earn profit. He could buy things from the market and sell them in the shop. Fang Chen didn't understand it, so the system explained that he just had to buy raw materials for making items like weapons, pills, and other things. The system would use the earned profit to make them.

Fang Chen didn't understand why a pawn shop needed to sell things available in the market. But the system explained that the main goal of the shop was to earn profit and increase its business. Pawning items was secondary because it required time and money and didn't guarantee a sale.

As a student of MBA, he easily understood what the system was talking about. So when he got the new mission, he decided to go to the market to buy materials. But selling things also had some rules: if the items are made with the help of the system, the price will be determined by the system. This means the price can differ from what is in the market.

While Fang Chen was thinking about how to earn a profit of 100 spirit stones, outside the shop, Tian Cai had opened his eyes and tears were falling.

He stood up, wiped his tears, and went inside the shop. Fang Chen was deep in thought when he heard a bell and saw Tian Cai. "What do you want?"

"Owner, sorry for the things I said and thank you for healing me." Tian Cai kowtowed towards Fang Chen and remained in the same position.

Fang Chen was bewildered seeing Tian Cai on his knees. He didn't understand why the arrogant person from before was now on his knees.

"No need to thank me; you have paid for what you got." Although Fang Chen didn't show emotions outside, he was still emotional inside. He knew Tian Cai had a story to tell and he also wanted to know about the kingdom.

Fang Chen helped him stand. Tian Cai continued to say thank you even though Fang Chen had said not to.

Tian Cai and Fang Chen sat face to face. As a courtesy, Fang Chen asked, "Why did you need the healing pill?"

Hearing Fang Chen's question, Tian Cai thought Fang Chen had overlooked what happened earlier and started to explain.

The story continued for an hour. Fang Chen was not interested in his story, so he only remembered the main parts. He found out that Tian Cai comes from a clan that directly works under the royal clan. His father and grandfather served the king as generals of the army. When he was young, he was attacked by an assassin and his Martial Spirit was damaged. To heal it, the requirement was huge, so his grandfather left the kingdom in search of a cure.

He also found out that there are three other clans similar to Tian Cai's. Their strength is second only to the royal family in the kingdom. Most resources are controlled by them.

"Owner Fang, can you sell me one more pill?" After telling the story, Tian Cai thought he had become closer to Fang Chen and couldn't help but ask.

"No, you can't buy it today. You can tell someone else to buy it for you. And no need to argue about it. It's the rule and you have to follow it." Fang Chen denied him because the rule of the system was that one person could complete only one deal. The deal is done when the money is exchanged, so Tian Cai had already paid for the pill. He could only pawn items now.

Tian Cai didn't understand why Fang Chen had such a stupid rule, but seeing the serious look on Fang Chen's face, he knew he was not faking it.

"Owner Fang, thank you for the pill. No need to worry, I will come with someone to buy. It is already morning; my family will be searching for me." Tian Cai bowed again and explained that he had to leave. Fang Chen didn't do anything, only waved his hand indicating him to leave.

Tian Cai couldn't help but shake his head seeing Fang Chen's attitude. For the first time, he had seen a shop owner who doesn't flatter his customers. He sighed and left the shop in a hurry.

Now Fang Chen was alone in the shop. Last night he hadn't gotten any sleep, so he thought about taking a nap before going to the market for materials.

After leaving the shop, Tian Cai didn't stop anywhere; he directly rushed towards his home. He didn't realize a person was following him and had seen everything that happened at the shop.

Half an hour later, he was standing in front of a large gate where guards were stationed. He didn't stop; he directly moved towards the entrance and the guards greeted him, "Welcome back, Young Master."

Tian Cai nodded at them and went inside. He directly rushed inside the house and went towards the largest hall. He reached there and saw that it was empty. He looked for a servant.

"Where is my father?"

"Greetings, Young Master. Master is at the training field with Young Miss," the servant told Tian Cai. He took out a coin, gave it to the servant, and rushed to the training area.

After running for a few minutes, he reached a field where many people were practicing. He didn't stop; he directly went to the center and saw a huge man fighting with a small girl. He smiled seeing them and shouted,

"Father, my injuries are healed!" His shout was so loud that everyone in the field heard him.
