Chapter 14: Chapter 14
Kagami's knowledge came from his own experiences along with the experience of thousands of protagonists. Overconfidence had killed off many characters so now that he'd have to live like one he'd make sure that those around him at least had common sense.
Eventually both girls joined him in the kitchen and after much persuasion, Orihime agreed to only chopping the ingredients. It wasn't long before Yoruichi came in, as a cat of course, which served as a perfect distraction for Orihime. Tatsuki and Kagami could now be seen moving even faster, hoping to finish before Orihime could add in weird ingredients.
Yoruichi was the most unhappy of the group but she decided to put up with it, still affected by his earlier words. By the time they had finished they Kagami had prepared what most would consider a 5-star meal and was the most amazing display any of the ladies had seen. They all shared the thought that whoever married Kagami would be quite lucky. The thought made one girl and one cat quite embarassed whereas the other girl simply wanted to eat.
3 people could be seen laughing at a dining table. The male telling 'made up' stories while both girls smiled and interjected where necessary. If one was observant they'd see a black cat laughing along with the others. But that was imposible right? Cats couldn't understand human jokes much less laugh at them! Thankfully no one paid it any mind.
It could be said that Tatsuki's plan was successful. Kagami was simply so charming and funny that it would be imposible for him to not get along with Orihime. And how did he come up with so many stories? She was sure that her friend would never forget tonight and that there might even be future events like this. Nothing could spoil the night.
Kagami felt his heart turn cold and he instinctively straightened up. If it was just that then it wouldn't have been a problem but he suddenly felt a sense of forboding. Looking at Yoruichi he could tell she felt it too. She now stood up as waiting to pounce on something. In no time at all he deduced where the uneasiness came from.
'It's Orihime. At first I thought the house would simply hide her Reiatsu but what if he was watching her from the beginning? In the anime he originally stalked her and even saved her from a car accident so what if he followed her here instead. Then when she entered he lost her but caution kept him from entering but now it's been a few hours..... Damn it. He's here.'

Ichigo felt like a bad day was now included as part of his new life. Yesterday he had been late and because of it a little boy was almost eaten by a Hollow. At that moment he swore that although he couldn't save every soul, he'd be sure to save as much as possible. He now regretted saying that because Rukia spent the entire making him chase Hollows.
To make matters worse he had seen his friends Tatsuki and Inoue.....who simply asked for directions to Kagami's house!! Why were they heading to that bastards house? They had only known him for a day! Yet when he asked out of concern Tatsuki attacked him! Something was definitely off with that Kagami guy and Rukia refused to tell him what little she knew. It was driving him mad! He decided no matter what he wasn't leaving his bed even if it was his wife about to die.

Orihime was left shocked at how quickly her world changed. One moment she was having the time of her life with her new friend, the next she felt herself being thrown followed by what must have been a very large truck driving into the house. The other day was Ichigo and today was Kagami? Was this really so frequent?
As she came back to her senses the fuzziness the covered her eyes began to clear up. Taking a look around horror flooded her eyes the more she saw. Her friend Tatsuki laying unconscious on the stairs and she appeared to be bleeding. The front of the house had a large hole and multiple pieces of furniture was scattered and destroyed. Worse yet was the sight of her new friend Kagami standing in front of her as if shielding her from the blast. But there was so much blood.
"Ori...hime. Are you okay?.... I need you to listen okay. Aaarrghhhh!!! Motherfff- Inoue take Tatsuki and head to the basement. Underneath the mat there's a door and stairs leading you further down. GO AND DONT LEAVE UNTIL I COME FOR YOU!!" (Kagami)
She was scared. She was so scared she couldn't move. But when she heard Kagami's words she understood there was work to be done. Her friend needed her! On shaky legs she got up and while supporting Tatsuki's weight she began slowly dragging her to the basement. He would come for them. She was sure of it.
Yoruichi too was caught off guard in the initial attack and she almost instinctively saved Kagami. However before she could grab him she remembered that Kisuke recommended that he fight as much as possible and in various scenarios. But instructions be damned! At the first sight of danger she'd finish off the Hollow. His training wasn't worth more than his life!
Both girls were on their way to somewhere safe and he was sure Yoruichi was watching from a safe place. Now he could play. This Hollow wanted to try cheap shots? Wanted to attack him while he was having a rare moment of relaxation? Worry not. As repayment he'd accompany Orihime when visiting her brother's grave.
The Hollow felt a change in his victim. It was already a surprise when the tiny human could hold off his body but now he felt even stronger. He suddenly gave off a delicious scent. One that promised satisfaction, power and... Danger!
WHOOOSH
A pilar of white energy could be seen reachimg the sky alerting all who could sense it. Even someone with the tiniest awareness could feel as they were submerged in water. Orihime who had just opened the hatch suddenly felt a chill and couldn't help but feel that she was somehow responsible for what gad happened. She decided she'd secure Tatsuki then go back to help Kagami
Tatsuki who was unconscious was awoken by the pressure but to her it felt oddly comforting. Feeling herself on Orihime's back she allowed herself to be carried while praying for Kagami's safety.
Yoruichi was left speechless. From his movements in the kitchen earlier she could tell he was still sore but how was he was stronger than when they fought? But he had to end this now as this would surely attract Soul Society's attention.
Sensing the incredible Reiatsu the Hollow tried retreating back to Hueco Mundo but how could Kagami let him leave? At the sight of the portal the Hollow regained hope. He was a mere 3 steps from freedom but suddenly wondered 'why does the portal look slanted?'
2 steps left. 'Why did it open so far off of the ground?'
One step left. 'Why is it not any closer? Forget steps! Where are my legs?!'
Kagami stood in mid-air looking at the now limb-less Hollow and the closing portal. After losing all it's limbs it could no longer sustain the portal and instead could only writhe in pain. Kagami watched on with a cold expression but inwardly he was no longer mad. He was simply disappointed that he had let this happen despite knowing the future? It was time to end this.
Kagami stood over the Hollow and he could feel it's fear but wasted no sympathy. But just before he delivered the final blow he could hear movement behind him. Orihime stood behind him breathing heavily but her eyes was glued to the space in front of Kagami. She could see a faint outline of something but it was still blurry. Despite being afraid she shakily approached with her hand outstreched until her hand rested on her brother's mask.
There was silence as Orihime could see the outline getting clearer and the face gradually clearing up. By the time she could fully see the Hollow her fear strangely disappeared but she was left with endless curiosity. Why did she feel that they were connected somehow.
Kagami could only released a sigh as he saw what occurred. He told them to stay away but he supposed some things were just unavoidable. With incredible precision and speed, Kagami bent his hands at an awkward angle and thrusted towards the mask. Despite the speed of the thrust it somehow only slightly cracked it. That crack soon spread and soon enough Orihime's brother was revealed.
Kagami gave them some space as they said similar parting words to those in the anime and when the time came he sent her brother off. Orihime fainted afterwards and Yoruichi walked over now in her human form. Both, along with the unconscious Orihime, went to his training area and saw that Tatsuki was now wide awake.
How was he supposed to deal with this? In the coming days Orihime would awaken her powers but she had originally forgotten these memories thanks to a device Rukia got from Kisuke. Kisuke was still gone and he'd prefer not to involve Rukia but how would he deal with these 2? It was unlikely Yoruichi knew any memory or binding techniques so he his only remaining choice was to partially explain to them. Why was things getting more complicated?!!
