Drinking Contest

Women around were mocking Isabella. Anyone at present knew what Doris meant when she mentioned pants. Isabella was not a lady but Doris was way out of line.

Joseph lowered his head and kept drinking after Isabella came in. He was ignoring her.

Isabella didn't care what they said. She just wanted to explain it to Joseph but when she walked to him, Joseph stood up at once and said, "Gerry, chase Isabella out. She doesn't even wear shoes at my birthday party so she is not welcomed."

Gerry was stunned and hesitated, "Mr. Joseph..."

"Do you need me to repeat it?" Joseph said.

Some girls began to laugh and Isabella was also surprised to hear it.

Gerry hesitated and walked over. He lowered his voice, "Miss Isabella..."

Isabella lowered her head and said, "Gerry, I can walk out myself..."

Then she turned around and left...

It was noisy and crowded outside. Isabella knew that she didn't belong to this place.
