Chapter 18: Stay with Me

In the Norris'.

It was already late at night. Sammy was about to go home after sending Clara back to her bedroom. Just as they passed by the study, the door was opened.

Serina went out of it. When she saw Sammy and Clara standing in the corridor, she straightened her back and walked to them with a swagger.

"Serina, are you alright?" Clara asked with concern.

"Thanks to you, I'm good." Serina looked at Clara with contempt.

Her eyes were full of hatred and resentment, as if there was a raging fire burning. Clara was frightened.

"That's good."

Clara stepped back and hid behind Sammy in fear.

"Serina...."

Serina cast a glance at Sammy and then walked straight towards her room.

"Let's go, Clara. I'll send you back. I'll be on my way."

Like a startled deer, Clara said, "Sammy, did you see the way Serina stared at me? It was as if she wanted to kill me. I'm so scared."
