Chapter 17: Chapter 16 - The Hand is Attacked

It was the day after the tourney had ended. Orys had held court that day itself and conducted the trials of Sandor Clegane and Ser Jory Cassel. Both of them had been quick and the punishment had been agreed upon by the King as well as his hand. Both of them had been barred from getting into any tourney in Westeros for the next 10 years. They also had to convince their liege lord to pay a sum of 2000 gold dragons as compensation for the lives that were lost, or they had to pay it themselves.

That took him only an hour after which he continued to monitor his enemies as well as other claimants that could arise. He was already ready with the plan of getting Eddard out of King's Landing and into the Night's Watch.

Renly had left the capital today and was seen riding towards Highgarden. That was reasonable as in the original timeline he had gone straight to Storm's End. But this time due to Stannis being the Lord Paramount, that wasn't an option. Stannis was known to be a strict and just leader. If he caught any of his vassals' turning traitors, he would most likely end their line and that wasn't something that any house was keen on bringing upon themselves.

He was brought out of his thoughts by the entry of Marwyn as he spoke up, "Milord, Ser Jaime and Prince Joffrey have set out with 20 Lannister men towards Littlefinger's brothel in order to 'avenge' Ser Tybolt's death. It seems they are about to go through with it. What shall we do?"

Orys leaned back in his chair as he contemplated on what to do next. After a few moments he said, "Let them get rid off some of his guards and injure the Stark at least a little. Send in the City Watch and a few men from the Royal Guard after that and tell them to let Joffrey and Jaime flee. Capture the ones involved in the attack and have him treated; I'll take care of the rest."

"As you wish, my lord," Marwyn spoke up as he bowed and left the room.

~ An hour later ~

Orys was walking hurriedly along with a few guards to the tower of the hand. The entire city had been shocked when they learned that the Hand had been attacked in the middle of the street in broad daylight by a prince and a king's guard. Eddard Stark had been injured as Ser Jaime had thrust a dagger in his left leg, preventing him from walking. Many of his guards, along with Ser Jory Cassel had been killed.

He was currently resting in his chambers in the Tower, but when Orys arrived there, he unsurprisingly found the King and Queen there as well. Robert could be seen screaming at CCersei while she was doing the same.

"What is going on?" his voice boomed as he entered the room.

His mother quickly came by his side as she said, "Orys, put some sense into your father. He is sending the Royal Guard after your brother and uncle!" Cersei said as she hoped Orys would listen to her plea.

"Woman! You should be happy I haven't already ridden out and bashed the head of both the blonde-haired shits with my hammer! How dare they attack Ned and his guards?!" Robert raged as he sat beside his friend who was clearly in pain.

"There will be no need for anyone to ride out. Not you, nor the Royal Guard," Orys said, as Cersei began to smile. "I will have had my men send ravens out to every house in Westeros that the two of them have to be arrested and brought here so that they could be tried and then an appropriate punishment shall be decided for them. Any house seen aiding them in avoiding their punishment, shall be declared as traitors as well."

Neither Robert nor Cersei were happy with what Orys said, but it's not like they could do anything. After all, his suggestion was the only one that seemed fair. Eddard Stark had a grateful look on his face.

"Now I believe we should leave, and let Lord Eddard have a few minutes alone with his family," Orys stated as Sansa and Arya Stark along with the men of the North could be seen rushing towards the chambers.

Robert was the first to get out along with his squire, Lancel Lannister. Orys' had his guards leave as well as he was pulled aside by his mother. He could guess what she wanted to talk about.

"How could you do that to your own brother and uncle?!" she raged and Orys sighed. Her obsession with anything Lannister except his Uncle Tyrion was getting annoying.

"Mother, just because they are your son and your lover, doesn't mean you will be able to protect them forever, especially not when it is clearly their fault," Cersei's eyes widened at that. "What? Did you really think I would never find out? Why do you think I have done everything I could to keep you two away from each other ever since I found out two years ago? Jon Arryn knew as well, and he was killed by Baelish for it since he could see that Jon Arryn was beginning to realize that his son Robyn wasn't his, but Baelish's.

I am not warning you; I am ordering you as your future King that this has to stop. Or someday, when the secret is out in the open, I wont be able to protect you or my siblings. Is that clear?" Orys commanded in a strong voice.

Cersei was speechless for a few moments. A lot of the stuff Orys had just told her was enough to spark another rebellion. It could also tarnish the reputation of not only the Lannister name, but Orys as well.

"I understand, my King," Cersei said in a small voice as she began moving away, only to be surprised when Orys suddenly pulled her back and snaked his arms around her waist.

He leaned his head forward until it was beside her ear as he spoke up, "You don't need Jaime anymore, Cersei. Besides, a stag is better than a lion in every way," Orys spoke up before he brought his face forward and gave her a kiss full of passion and lust, something that caused Cersei to leak rivers between her legs.

Things soon escalated as he brought down one of his hands roughly on her thick rump and gave it a smack, as his other hands massaged her full teats and tweaked her nipples, causing her to moan and giving Orys the opportunity to slip his tongue in her mouth as she brought her hands around his neck to pull him closer.

This went on for a few minutes before Orys suddenly pulled back as he smirked at her whine. "After I am king, you will get more of that," Orys said before smacking her arse once more, before he left, leaving Cersei with one more reason to kill off Robert earlier than necessary.
