I ran with the only goal to avoid people. I didn't want anyone to see me like this, especially not my father. How was I supposed to explain my situation without mentioning finding a mate who is not worthy?

'You don't know he is not worthy,' Varya spoke into my mind and I could sense she was trying to slow me down.

You gotta be kidding me! I hissed back. I don't care about his position or his power. If he does that… in the middle of the day… I couldn't even finish those thoughts. It was that gross. That man was despicable! To think that Varya wanted us to mate with him made my stomach churn.

'Powerful males have needs. Females throw themselves at him.'

And he should be powerful enough to say no, to have decency to not be a slut!

I reached a tall wall. No one was around but I still made my way among bushes to ensure privacy.
