Chapter 47: Unexpected?

Alastair stood beside Alcyone as the cold expression plastered on her face slowly faded. The contract had concluded, and her second soul deal was finally completed. Alastair never thought the difference between the first soul deal and the second would be so high. At first, she was dealing with bandits, then afterward, she was now facing an army. 

It was as if something was trying to make her stronger as fast as possible.

"It could be Shai. After all, she is the only one who seems to be giving the summoning of the Krieger to other worlds." Alastair silently uttered with a calm tone. It was a fair assumption, especially with Shai's standing over everything. Shai being in control over everything wouldn't be that far out of reality.
