Chapter 240: Crowded office (2)

After talking about the plan with Ignis, we agree. He's worried but lets me continue with my intentions.

He says to use his name if I ever get in trouble and threaten anyone no matter how dangerous they are. Especially those from the Royal Family.

They will be the first to complain about everything.

I spend the following day in my office, signing documents and replying to correspondence.

«Call the soldiers,» I say to Tobin. «I need to talk with them. Also, find anyone trusted who can write. I'll need a lot of them.»

«Yes, your Majesty,» he says before leaving.

Marius and Aida don't leave me alone. My handmaid works in the room, pretending to be tidying up.

Marius orders documents and sighs from time to time. His heart is heavy but, whatever it is, it doesn't seem related to our plan.

«What's the matter?» I ask him.

«I thought it would be easier.»

«What, exactly?» For sure, he's not talking about legalising magic.
