Chapter 44 - 7 vs 7, Dangerous Youth

Three days have passed quickly since Shrek Academy's tournament debut.
Half of the participating teams were eliminated and the remaining teams were split into groups.
Shrek Academy's first group match was against Star Luo Empire's Cloud Luo Soul Engineering Academy in the 1v1 format. Although Mo Xie wanted to fight again, Wang Yan rejected him and let Xu Sanshi climb first and as expected, Xu Sanshi won smoothly in just three rounds, causing the captain of the opposing team to give up fighting any further.
With nothing to do, Mo Xie concentrated on cultivating as much as he could to digest his recent gains. What made him happiest was the increase in his understanding of space laws.

His opponent this time was the Thousand Spirits Advanced Soul Academy that originated from the Dou Ling Empire and the format of their confrontation was a team fight.
By that time, Mo Xie, Bei Bei, Xu Sanshi, Jiang Nannan, He Caitou, Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong were already on top of the platform while the Thousand Spirits Advanced Soul Academy team was at the other end of the platform.

In addition to their captain, who was a Rank 54 Soul King, all the rest of the team were Soul Ancestors who were close to Rank 45.
The moment the match started, in addition to Mo Xie, everyone released their spirit rings. Yuhao's spiritual detection was quickly shared with Mo Xie and the others, giving them excellent support for combat.

Blaze Tiger's projection with wings of fire also reached above the spear and released a bluish flame on Thousandstrike Lance.
It all happened quickly, but Mo Xie didn't even bother to stop them from using their abilities. He was particularly interested in his opponents' Ice and Fire abilities, so he decided to let Bei Bei and the others fight them freely. If something happened, he would step in to help them.
An image of a cross appeared on the chest of Bei Bei who was ahead while Shen Ce smiled slightly. When he was about to throw the spear at Bei Bei, Yuhao's spiritual shock hit him and caused his attack to hit and destroy the shields within his formation.
He Caitou took advantage of the situation and within three seconds built a spirit tools fortress made of gun barrels. Each one fired several bolts and created huge explosions, completely destroying the rest of the shields and attacking Shen Ce. The explosions were extremely frightening, and this attack was enough to even kill a Soul King.
When the explosions were over, Shen Ce could be seen in an extremely pitiful state, and the only reason he was still standing was because of his Class 6 armor which was now in tatters.
Seeing how the situation became more chaotic, Jiang Nannan used her first and second spiritual abilities, 'Waist Bow' and 'Gravity Control' respectively to knock Yang Ming offstage.
In the next moment, the Blaze Tiger's projection threw a fireball towards Jiang Nannan, catching her off guard, but Xu Sanshi immediately used his fourth spiritual ability and switched places with her. He steadied his feet on the ground and with his center of gravity tilted slightly forward, he met the attack head-on with his shield.
Bei Bei was also attacking Song Hu, Bai Chen and Ye Mao who were trying to back off a bit trying to regroup with Shen Ce who had once again used his spiritual abilities.
However, in the next moment, Frost Bear's projection roared and An Lengye's fourth spirit ring lit up and an ice tornado took shape, directly attacking the center of Mo Xie's team formation. The power of this spiritual ability was at the level of a Soul King by being empowered by a Skull Spirit Bone.
When Xu Sanshi was preparing to defend An Lengye's attack, Mo Xie made his move.
Mo Xie raised a hand and the temperature, already low on the platform, began to drop further. A white mist could be seen as the platform was completely covered by ice.
Even Yuhao, who had a martial soul related to Ultimate Ice, shivered as he felt the cold produced by Mo Xie's movement.
"How is that possible?" The Ice Empress and Daydream screamed in shock in Yuhao's mind. The Ice Empress was especially incredulous, as in her thinking, there was no way anyone other than her could have such a powerful ice attribute.
Besides Yuhao, An Lengye and Fei Yuyan were even more terrified as they felt their martial souls shudder with the ice released by Mo Xie.
Everyone at Star Luo Plaza was also shocked by Mo Xie's move who hadn't left his place so far. From his perspective, Mo Xie became even more unfathomable. His sword skills were already powerful enough, but now he hasn't even released his spirit rings and has been able to directly take over An Lengye's attack.
The tornado that was furiously heading towards Mo Xie's team stopped and ran back to Shen Ce's team who now had their legs pinned to the ground by the ice created by Mo Xie. The tornado was even stronger now.
Shen Ce tried to throw his spear at Mo Xie as he was the cause of his problems, but in the next moment he felt his head hit by Mo Xie's Mental Shock and passed out instantly.
You had to know that Mo Xie's and Yuhao's Mental Shock were on completely different levels. Not to mention that Mo Xie's mental power was even more powerful, reaching the standard of a Soul Sage, it wouldn't be a problem for him to kill any Soul King with his mental attacks. Even weaker Soul Emperors could be knocked out if their mental defenses were weak.
The only reason Mo Xie didn't use it much in his battles was because he wanted to gain more experience against his peers and improve his sword skills.

"Mo Xie, did something happen?"
Mo Xie calmed down as much as he could and replied, "It's nothing."
After returning to his room, his expression turned solemn.
The feeling that young man gave him was extremely dangerous, so Mo XIe wasted no time and began to cultivate hard. His instincts told him it wouldn't be long before he would meet that young man again.
