“You traitors! Where have you hidden the witches!”
We backed ourselves up to the wooden doors of the main building. Lady Charlotte and I stood in front of Lady Viola in order to shield her from the crowd of angry noblewomen.
“You girls need to open your eyes!” I shouted.
“Lady Rium, it's no use to waste your energy on them,” said Lady Charlotte.
“Even so, this is quite humiliating! I am a duke’s daughter! The only heir to the Bazanine family and they dare threaten me?!”
“This is what happens when you side with the witches! Atone for the sins you have committed to our goddess!”
“We have committed no sins! I, Viola Elmeier, pledge my name to Celestia that we have done nothing wrong!” Lady Viola announced.
“Lady Viola, you shouldn’t do that for something so small!” Lady Charlotte voiced.
“She pledged her name!”
“But she has sinned, right? Wouldn’t Celestia punish her more for pledging her name towards her lies?”
