Chapter 142: Mum

Blaise waited anxiously while Jeannie stared at him with a gentle gaze. He knew that she wanted him to come closer to her but his legs seemed to be made of lead and would not move. As the silence started to turn awkward for Blaise and he wondered if he should run away with an excuse.

Finally, it was Jeannie who broke the silence as she said,"Blaise. Can you please come here? My neck is going to have a trick if I try to keep looking up at you. Just raised up the bed and then come over so we can talk."
