Smells Like Vinegar

Christopher's eyes were narrowed into slits when he saw that Delaney had yet to let go of his fiance. As he watched, Delaney actually caressed her cheek and held her by the shoulders before messing her hair a bit. They seemed to be too close!

He then remembered how easily she had been able to get into his hotel room. Delaney, in fact, had even participated in the auction and it was because of him that he had placed second in it causing him to lose the bet.

He wrinkled his nose and finally came to the late conclusion that Miss Jeannie, his fiance, and his best friend were really close.

Finally, the two seemed to realize that they needed to move, but even then Delaney held Jeannie's hand in his as they walked out.

Without letting go of her hand, he then extended his hand to him and said," Christopher! Thanks for letting me come here on such short notice! Getting your airbase to give me permission would have taken all night."
