Chapter 7: (MLY6) Theft
"You two know each other?" Hana asked although she already know the answer.
Hotaru shifted his eyes on Hana, his expression quickly changed as if he never glared at Seni. "No. Just an acquaintance." he said with a smile.
Hana acted like she believes it. She tries to act normal. She feels intense pressure specially at how Seni keeps on staring at her with those maroon eyes, he looks like he's trying to dig out of her facade.
Sota is quite. She's aware on what history the two men have.
Hana stood up to face Seni who's still staring. "Thank you so much for last night. If you weren't there, something worse could've happened."
Seni stare at her, trying to see through her fake, but now he can confirm she is being sincere. 'Wow... This girl have some guts. Amazing!'
He took her hands and held it near his chest. A grin plastered on his beautiful charming face. "No way. Why would I let such beautiful woman in danger, right?" he put a fake smile that didn't go unseen to Hana.
She smile. "Oh no, you flustered me, sire."
'This jerk do be playing with me!'
'This girl is playing with everyone.'

<<There's a commotion in the Locker area!>>
'Is it...' Hana took her hand away from Seni's grasp. She face Sota. "Would you like to grab food together? I'm kinda hungry."
Sota's face show obvious happiness. "Sure thing!"
There were about to go out of the room when Seni and Hotaru both walk with them. Hana is confused. "Uh... You're going too?"
Seni just shrug and walk pass them, hitting his shoulder with hers. She's pissed. How dare that guy! She wants to beat him up but she also have to put an act so she acted like it's nothing. 'Calm down, Hana... Oh god... I wanna hit his head!'
When Seni completely disappear in their sight, they started to walk to the cafeteria again. "Hana?" Hotaru called.
"Yes, Senpai?"
"How did you met Karami? And what happened last night? Didn't we walk you home? Did you got in danger?"
Hana glance at his face. His face is neutral. "Oh... I went out after I got home, and then there's these group of old men tried to corner me and insisted to come with me, he just happened to be there and saved me."
Sota spoke. "What!? Did you see their faces!?"
She shook her head. "No. It was quite dark."
Hotaru spoke. "I'll pull some strings and investigate them."
"Really? That's good then." She wanna know who are they too so she could kill them, good thing her Senpai offered a help!
Hotaru's face became darker. "But in a condition of staying away from Karami Seni."
Both Sota and Hana look at him confused. "But he saved me?" Hana said.
He sighed. "I know. I'm suspicious of him, okay? It could be that he did it in purpose of getting close to you or—"
"I don't mind."
"... What..."
Hana smiled. "If he wanna be friends then I don't mind!"
'She loves making friends that much?' Hotaru thought.
This time, Sota spoke. "What if he wants more than being friends?"
Hana acted oblivious. "Like best friends?" of course they believed it. Both sighed as if they are giving up.
From their classroom, you will reach the Locker area first before the cafeteria. And Hana is very thankful for that.
Just like what the system said, there is a commotion and a familiar girl the center of that.
"I swear that I put it here! Who stole it!? It's a gift from my mom!" Anade screams.
'The show starts already...?' Hana thought.
The students around gathered, specially those who idolizes Anade. She's a student model after all.
"Aren't Hana Misaki is the one who owns the one beside yours?" one of the student said, talking about the locker.
Anade owns the locker at the top very end while Hana own the only one beside hers. The one below is empty as no one owns it.
Anade quickly look around and their eyes met. Hana looked confused and worried. At least, that's what visible to their eyes.
Anade saw that Hotaru and Sota is beside her saw she quickly fake a smile. "Misaki, did you saw a pink small box in my locker? I forgot to lock it this morning so anyone could've took it. It have a very beautiful butterfly designed necklace inside. It is very important to me because it's a real gold and a gift from my mom."
As she spoke, her tone becomes more and more threatening. "Hey, Anade! Are you threatening Misaki?"
"No way!" Anade said with a smile but it's obvious that she's slowly losing her sanity. "Why would I do that? Hana is a friend! I'm just simply asking!"
"Then try calming down first, will you?"
"I... Am... Calm! I am very calm right now, Sota!"
Hana step in front. "I- I didn't notice it. But I can help you try and find it."
"What... You didn't see it?" then she face one of the male student. "Didn't you say that you saw her this morning?"
The student smirk. "Yes. I've been here since then and she's the only one who went to that side."
It was one of the student known as delinquents. They often spend times around not attending classes. Typical NPCs.
'Oh no... This is quite fun' Hana wants to laugh at their bullshit.
"N-No... It's true I took something from MY locker but I wouldn't dare steal anything from you!" Hana faked a stutter.
Anade laughs sarcastically, she's really getting mad. "I didn't say you stole any. I just asked IF YOU SAW it."
The crowd became full of whispers.
"Did she really stole it?"
"Maybe she's jealous of Anade?"
"What a bitch."
They kept talking bullshit and Hana is enjoying every bit of it. "I... I didn't steal it!"
"Stop talking to Hana that way. You might have dropped it somewhere else." Hotaru said.
"I SWEAR on my life, Senpai! I swear that I put it here and even checked it before I left!"
"Anade, Hana said that she didn't saw it. Yes, she might be the only one he saw." he point at the delinquent. "... But that is not an enough reason."
"Like I said, I am not accusing her. But ok, sure! I'll let her off the hook this time if that's what you want senpai." She close her locker and walk away.
Anade might've already left but the students around still keeps on spouting nonsense. 'Oh my... Keep going, guys... I'll put you in your place later.'
"She really did took it!"
"Anade is too kind."
"That bitch, what's her name again?"
"She's an outcast, no one would want to remember her!"
"Maybe she's too poor to buy her own."
"I should hide my things, they are all expensive. She might steal it."
Hana lower her head, hiding her glimmering eyes. "I... I really didn't..."
Her tone, her facial expressions and her actions are the opposite of her true self. If she's in a novel right now, she surely is considered as a villain. I mean, if you'll be a villain at least be a better one, yeah?
Hotaru and Sota look at her with worries. "Don't listen to them, I believe in you, Misaki." Sota said.
"I'll believe in you as long as Anade is yet to find evidence." Hotaru said.
"Really, Hotaru?" Sota asked sarcastic.
"What? At least I believe, right?"
"... You're pissing me off, I might punch you."
"What. I didn't even do anything?"
"Pft... Hahahahaha." Hana couldn't take it anymore. She really find it funny, genuinely.
Both felt relieve to hear her normal happy tone. Hana Misaki is the most beautiful when she's happy. Her shining deep blue eyes that closes when she smiles and her quite chubby cheeks that doubles the size. Cute. No it's an understatement. She's adorable.
'Tsk.' Seni reacts fron afar. He had been watching the whole time and he saw how that brunette play with everyone like a puppeteer. He watch while she entertains herself controlling them.
'That girl hides something...' then he left.
She might be able to put collar with those idiot's neck, but he know that he would never ever fall for her trick.
The next day became more chaotic. Bullies became active. And their target? Hana Misaki.
