Chapter 123: Surprise After Surprise

Anna's presence confuses Raily.

"What are you doing here?" Raily asks.

Anna is about to speak when "Send her in." Amon's voice comes from behind.

Raily turns her head to look at Amon and then again at Anna. She steps aside and lets Anna walk in.

"Close the door and go back to your previous position," Amon orders.

Raily wants to say something but stops herself. She might not be book-smart, but she is smart enough to know what Amon is trying to do.

She knows he wants to establish boundaries and a single wrong step from her can ruin everything. So she decides to keep her mouth shut and do as he says.

Raily walks back to her previous spot and gets on her knees.

"Anna, come here," Amon calls her closer seeing that she is just standing next to the door shyly.

She nods and gets closer to Amon's desk. "Come stand next to me," Amon orders.
