-----holy damn took me a while to get some time to sit down and write this. So I got some irl problems i gotta deal with and these arent the easy ones either, so ill try to get this to 110 chapters to round it up, but i don't know when ill be able to get some time. However a friend of mine has access to this account and he might decided to write his own novel he's been talking about something. I have no idea on what his plans are so.... Good luck out there.-----
At some point in time I wound up in a room with Lu Ten. To my surprise he was better, and the greater surprise was how. Katara new some healing techniques and like Jet in the show she tried to use it on Lu Ten. At first it looked like it didn't work and Iroh was let down a little. Iroh had thought of going to the north pole again to see if a healer there could help. Until Katara brought out the spirit water.
Now here I sat left alone with Lu Ten who was getting his barrings. As Iroh had apparently end up having a 'secret meeting.' Well secret to everyone else, but not to me. Maybe Zuko too he looked like he knew what was up, but I sighed. Zuko wasn't the one with Lu Ten right now.
"Its been a long time."
"Yeah people thought you were dead, so how'd you live?"
Lu Ten stayed silent and I leaned back in my chair doodling in my note book. With a screech of the chair, I looked up as he sat down. "They buried me alive, it was.... Well I remember the terror, but not much after. Ha, you could say I went down the drain."
I gave him a chuckle, "Dark."
Lu Ten nodded, "You would say the same if you had your father place someone to watch you."
I shrugged, "Well its been a day and let's just say the others that came out of the brain washing were, not in the state to go home."
Lu Ten leaned his head back. "You are my cousins boyfriend?"
I shrugged again, "Why do you ask?"
"She needed a chill pill, Dad always tried to reign her in. At least whenever he wasn't at the throat of my uncle."
I raised an eyebrow at that, I couldn't see that and to my surprise Lu Ten picked up on it. "It was more my Uncle at my dad. He never liked the idea of my dad taking the throne. Speaking of..."
He looked me in the eyes and smiled, "I guess one of my cousin's are gonna inherit the throne. i don't think I want to get into all that. I was satisfied just... shit!" he put his head into his hands, "What about Mer?"
That was something I certainly didn't know, "What your girlfriend?"
He spoke softly, "She was my vice commander."
I was beaten to the punch to respond by Azula as she opened the door. "Mer is on the grif-island fortress." Azula smiled at me and waved.
I waved back and made a heart with my hands. Azula frowned and shook her head, "Your a fool."
I shrugged and looked back at Lu Ten, his eyes were still a little glazed. Lu Ten though spoke out, "I never thought I would see this day, in fact for a while I didn't think I would see many more days..."
I gave another shrug, "Soooo What's up Azula?"
"Well once Uncle returns, he and Lu Ten will be heading off. Tomorrow is when I'll be leaving and the day after is when you are aren't?"
Ah, I understood what Azula was hinting at. I could certainly spend some time with her before she leaves. Azula smiled when I nodded and she looked over at Lu Ten again. "Anyway cousin, What does it feel like to be considered dead."
Lu Ten took a second before responding, "About as alive as your mom."
I winced as I saw the smile drop from Azula's face. A real daredevil Lu Ten was....
------Sokka pov------
I patted Aang's shoulder. "I get it buddy, your nervous. Except Orin is a smart guy, has a screw loose maybe. Besides you are a fast learner. Just think of it like how you learned Earth bending and Water bending."
Aang threw his hands up, "That's what I'm worried about... You remember what happened last time I tried to fire bend. Not to mention now energy bending! What even is that! I've never heard of it!"
I shrugged, "Neither have I, but even if you don't learn fire bending you definitely need to learn energy bending. Not like you will kill the fire lord."
Aang sagged a little, "I don't even think Orin likes me..."
Orin did give Aang a side eye. Though I knew the look, it was the look some of the old village elders of the north pole. The type of look of not having a second to spare for a kid. I knew the look well, I reassured Aang. "Orin seems to just not want to be in a teaching role. From the sounds of it he enjoys the benefits of the gifts he got. However uh, not wanting the responsibility...."
I paused for a moment, "Actually you might have a thing or two in common. You didn't want to be the avatar didn't you? Yet you enjoy bending and learning about bending. Perhaps you can find something in common Aang? You are good at making friends."
He nodded and I held my hand out for a high five. With a solid start Aang nodded, I gave my own nod and we began brushing Appa's fur again. Aang was a good kid, he needed the boost specially since he wasn't happy about hearing the destruction caused. No one was hurt, but he still felt bad about the people who had a home or shop destroyed.
