Chapter 31: Rumours!
After having a light breakfast, Sam first practised his fist skill. He kept punching the air at various angles in faster to fastest ways.
It was boring but Sam could hear the notification of increasing exp continuously. This he was in a pleasant mood.
Sam continued practising his knife skill after his fist skill. The knife skill was also simple with moves like draw, hack, slash, stab. With practice, his knife skill went from rusty to well trained.
Even though he gained full knowledge from the skill book, he didn't have any proficiency in the skill. Before this, Sam was just using his basic intuition in using a blade to fight during the beast tide. But now he could understand the profound meaning.
Moreover, since Sam liked to use a blade, he felt a more profound feeling after practising it. A sword might be used for defending or confronting or killing an enemy in an open confrontation but Sam felt the blade was solely used for killing in one strike!!
It was a weapon for a merciless killer, who kills or critically injure the enemy in one fatal move! And the target could never escape it! That was how the blade worked!
Thus practising the same moves over and over again made those moves engrave deep in his bones. His movements turned more fluid with time!

gulp~ gulp~
Sam gulped down water after running 2 Kms straight. He was really tired. After completing his daily missions, Sam seriously took out his books to study. He had to get good marks for enrolling in the best military academy.
His studies went smooth. In a few hours, he completed his year's school syllabus. Sam continued to practice some yearly question papers after that. He was being a diligent student!

crash! bang!
"You pig! Didn't you promise me that guy will die in the jungle? So how come is he alive?" yelled Jessica viciously.
The fat teacher bleed from his head as she threw a glass vase at him. Still, he didn't complain at all about the insults and bad treatment and replied,
"Young miss, I am sorry. No one came out of the jungle except that mutt! We thought that he was dead and our stay at that moment our presence in the outer city was getting suspicious, so we left. Please give me another chance. I will kill that mutt myself."
"Pig, I don't want any explanation but results! I don't care how you do but if you don't I will grind your bones while you are alive!" cursed Jessica maliciously as she looked at him with disgust.
"Now scram. I want him dead by this week! That bitch Lucy's dad will probably take action if we are not fast! Scram!" yelled Jessica madly while the fat teacher and his trembling henchmen ran away quickly!
As soon as the fat teacher ran to some distance, his face distorted in fury as he punched the metal pole on the side of the road, distorting it badly.
"That little bitch..I day I will have you beg mercy under me!!" thought the fat teacher viciously as he fumed.
"Boss.. what should we do next!" asked a henchman nervously.
"What next? Force him to take action! I will kill that orphan bastard personally!" replied the fat teacher with a spiteful look on his face.
His hatred towards Sam intensified as he recalled the scoldings of Jessica.

Sam didn't know that he was being conspired again. He lead a good life in the remaining days of his suspension. Today he was going to resume school again.

The moment he entered his classroom, the noisy classroom got silenced. Later they started gossiping about him in hushed whispers while browsing their mobiles. Some had a gloating look while some looked at him with disdain.
Sam squinted his eyes.
After some minutes, Olson entered the classroom and rushed towards Sam in a hurry.
"Sam! How gave you been bro?!" asked Olson with a smile.
Sam looked towards Olson and grinned as they did a brotherly handshake!
"Never been better!" replied Sam.
They chatted each other about the weekend when Olson suddenly said,
"Sam you mustn't answer to any kind of provocations!"
Sam raised his brows. " What happened?"
Olson showed his school's student group chat where some suitors of Lucy and especially Jessica were hurling malicious comments against him. Some keyboard warriors were also fueling some bad rumours about him!
Sam was astounded seeing how these brain dead people were painting him as a villain who lusted after beauties! They even twisted the story of Jessica and him saying that he asked for Jessica to sleep with him in compensation to save her but she escaped his evil clutches!
Stories became more exaggerated and people started believing them and threw insults at Sam wherever he went.
"Oh-oh, ~~ isn't it that orphan bastard who awoke a shitty painting ability?" whistled a muscular boy along with his group as they looked down on Sam in a condensing way.
From their school tag, it could be seen that they were seniors and they had come for bullying Sam. The surrounding students looked at the scene with interest.
Sam was having lunch with Olson when he heard someone say that in a gloating voice. Sam was mad. Whatever they said about his character, he didn't care but he hated when people called him a bastard!!
It was his taboo!!
"Apologise!" said Sam in a sinister voice. His inner beast was raging madly and was on the verge of an outbreak!
"Huh? What did that guy say?" asked the muscular guy in disbelief.
"Haha.. he asked you to apologise...This joke is so funny!" laughed the other boys.
The muscular guy scoffed, " Tell me what I said wrong? You are just a bastard orphan with no skill and you are lusting for swan's meat!"
Sam gave intense killing intent at that moment.
"So you won't apologise?" asked Sam again.
The muscular guy frowned at first feeling the killing intent but his arrogant character didn't let him back down!
"So what?" he asked cockily.
" I challenge you in a duel. Do you have guts to accept it?" asked Sam gloomily.
"Huh? Are you serious? Did you all hear that? This bastard challenged me!! Hahaa Fine I will entertain you today! Come to the duelling ground!" laughed the guy heartily along with the surroundings.
Olson nudged Sam and asked in a whisper, "Can you win? This guy is probably level 5 or 6! "
Sam nodded. Olson was still worried but he couldn't help it since the situation was out of control at that moment. He knew very well that Sam was truly mad at that moment!
