Chapter 3: Chapter 3 : Ning Zhou
The girl was dressed elegantly, from one look you can easily deduct that she belongs to a rich family.
The girl seemed to have noticed a gaze on her, her gaze darted in Chi Ai's direction.
A look of shock and surprise that was fleeting passed by.
The girl quickly retracted her gaze, not wanting to implicate her.
Seemingly aware of her intention Chi Ai became surprised.
When Chi Ai was trapped in the capsule, she struggled every day to survive, at that time she wanted to ask for help but there was no one, present there.
But here, the girl had a chance but yet she doesn't want to harm others in order to gain a helping hand.
Chi Ai was impressed, but this was not time to think about this.
"Boss, you go first, we will go after you....." One of the gangsters said before he could finish his statement he was knocked out.
Not only him but his colleague and the boss as well and the few gangsters got sacred out of their wits, who was this ghost, who knocked them within few seconds.
The girl was surprised to see that the beautiful lady know martial arts, before she could get of her confusion, she heard a sweet and lazy voice.
"Miss are you okay?" Chi Ai asked.
While asking this even Chi Ai doesn't know that she was looking too beautiful.
"Uh...Yes, thank you." the girl replied while blushing hard.
"Miss be careful, this dark alley is not safe for girls. Since you are okay I will leave then." Chi Ai turned to leave.
"Excuse me, I am Lu Xiao....what is your name?" the girl asked while feeling quite nervous.
" Chi Ai," Chi Ai said, and left.
"Chi Ai... I will thank you properly one day..." the girl said to herself. After some time, some black suit bodyguard came finding her.
The girl who looked weak some moment ago had a sharp glint now in her eyes, " Do you all know your fault? If my brother got to know about this, it will be not as simple as to be fired....."
The bodyguard can't help but become frightened.
Chi Ai strolled for a while and finally found a jewelry shop.
Entering the shop she started to go through the jewelry, the cheapest one was around 850 yuan which was a ring with a simple design.
She bought it and felt that she needed to earn money as fast as possible.
After entering her house, she saw 5 extra pairs of slippers.
It was her uncle and his daughter and sons who came to celebrate Ning Zhou's birthday.
Ning Zhou was quite pitiful, her biological parents abandoned her when she was 5 years old, Ning Wei her uncle adopted her.
Ning Zhou's facial features can't be categorized as pretty, but she looked a lot better than Tang li. Ning Zhou was a cute beauty-type girl.
Ning Zhou always liked Chi Ai, but Chi Ai never showed any specific attention to her.
She remembered that in the original novel in order to help Chi Ai, Ning Zhou sold her books, and jewelry but yet didn't even got a single ounce of appreciation.
Resulting in the latter hating her. And after that.....
Seeing Chi Ai seemed lost in her thought, her mom called her.
Chi Ai snapped out of her memories and walked towards Ning Zhou.
"Happy birthday Zhou, here is your gift." Chi Ai said with some difficulty, she was still not used to the relationship but she wanted to cherish them.
Ning Zhou was flabbergasted, 'didn't this cousin of her hated her?' putting aside the doubt in her heart she accepted the gift.
Opening the gift not only she but entire people in the house was surprised, ' A silver ring?'
'Is she out of her mind, does she mistook Tang li's gift for mine?' Ning Zhou thought, but seeing the latter's expression doesn't seem so.
Ning Bei seems to have seen everyone's confusion and said " Zhouzhou, you should take it, she specially prepared this for you "
"Hmm" Chi Ai agreed.
Her uncle, three brothers, and Ning Zhou seem to have not expected this.
Ning Zhou was delighted, this was the first time Chi Ai took initiative to do something for her, she was on cloud nine.
Even though her three brothers had some doubt they were happy to see the sisters reunion.
