Chapter 23: 22

It's soft, I'm sore. My head hurts, my stomachs hurts, my legs are still weak but I can hear a machine in the distance…I opened my eyes and regretted because of the pain that came after, but I need to see. I opened them again and closed them back, that went on for three times before I opened them slowly to the florescent bulbs in the white room, I tried to turn my neck but I only had more pain in me and I screamed "Ahh….mommyyyyy…mommmmmyyyyyyy!!!!"

"I'm here…" I heard once, "I'm here baby," I heard again, "Ireolamide your mother is here" I heard and felt soft hands on my neck "I'm here now…don't cry anymore…I'm here Ire, I'm here. Doctor…doctor!!!! My daughter is awake!" She screamed. I looked at her, my mom and she smiled at me, the tears were there, flowing freely and unashamedly, "baby, I'm here." she sobbed as she patted my cheeks and planted kisses all over my face saying prayers between sobs. Is this real? Is she really here and am I really at the hospital?
