Chapter 13: 12

The tears rose to my eyes as everyone gave me a standing ovation, and erupted into a wild round of applause, I couldn't think straight as I was led forward on stage, but I was glued to the spot. I won!

I won! I won!!

The tears poured out and I was grateful that a waterproof mascara was applied on my eyes. I looked into the audience and everyone was cheering wildly, giving me the thumbs up sign and waving at me, I saw signs with my name on them, people were taking videos, I was presented with a bouquet of beautiful flowers and given a red stash with "winner" boldly written in gold, a crown was placed on my head and I almost went out of breath, so this is how it feels to win something? This is how it feels to be a winner. I guess it feels…goooood?
