" Why?" Raquel couldn't help asking as she raised her gaze to look at Becca again.

" I don't know. Maybe because I know how it feels like to be vulnerable, how it feels to cry in a bathroom for something that wasn't even your fault, and when I saw you crying, I don't know but for some reason, I thought you don't deserve the problem you are being pushed into. You shouldn't sacrifice yourself for your family's financial problems by marrying a douche." A small smile played on Becca's lips as she spoke. 

At first, Becca thought she was crazy and pathetic for wanting to help a past enemy but was kinda surprised to find out that there was a strange feeling of satisfaction in it. She didn't understand why but for some reason helping Raquel made her feel the same way she always did after helping out the children in orphanages. Satisfied. Grateful for the life she had.
