Chapter 40: Two in One (1)

Because the ability took away all the principal's defense when his fist made contact with my body the amount of power he had was around 18,940 skill points.

However, my natural defense was maxed out at 20,000 thus the force of his punch couldn't penetrate my body and the only way it could go was backward.

The principal ended up bouncing his own 18,940 power punch off of me right back at his 0 defense body.

'No wonder nothing was left of him,' I exclaimed in my head as I stopped laughing.

'However, it's annoying that I didn't get to test out essence, he would have been the perfect target,' I let out a short sigh before shaking my head. 'I will have more chances to test it out in the future.'

With the deaths of every presence in the building, it was just an empty shell.

Now bored and with the first part of the plan complete, I placed my palm on the bloody floor before activating the ability that I've been recently relying on.

I was already drenched in blood so touching the dark red sticky floor didn't affect me in the least.

Once I activated the ability a small clean crystal started to form from the tips of my fingers before spreading out in all directions.

In a short moment, the building that contained the bodies of hundreds was turned into ice.

From the outside the camouflage that once covered it was beneath a layer of ice.

In the overgrown green forest, a singular structure made completely of ice stood majestically before it came crashing down on itself.

What remained of the lifeless corpses shattered along with the building and an open area filled the forest.

The only evidence of what was once there was me standing as blood dripped down to my feet and stained the grass.

In the next second, no trace was left behind as I took off towards the next objective.

Instantly I appeared in front of a similar camouflaged building that just like the previous was filled with many soldiers training.

There weren't as many officers as in the previous camp but there were a lot more commanders.

I could sense around thirty of them which was surprising because according to Willow and the information I got from the first camp there shouldn't be more than ten.

This was more than four times the amount compared to the last camp. Yet, this change didn't affect anything in fact it would benefit me more.

The stronger the opponent the more experience I get when I kill them.

Even if they are slightly stronger than the normal soldiers it didn't require any additional attacks to kill them previously.

'This time I won't go in with a strategy, I want to see how destructive essence is purely on its own,' I thought to myself as a layer of darkness wrapped around my body and a devilish aura began flowing out of me.

Without a second thought, I went full force into the building.

Crashing down through the room I hovered above all the soldiers.

As if I was a king looking down upon his subjects I threw my arms back and held them out as I activated the death essence.

An eruption of darkness spread around me and enveloped my body as my power level surged to insane heights.

I had no idea what my power level was in terms of skill points but if I had to guess just by having the essence surrounding me it grew by close to two thousand points.

If my calculations were correct that would mean each percentage of essence was equivalent to one thousand points.

This means once I max out the essences and they get to one hundred percent. It would be an additional hundred thousand skill points evenly distributed to all skills.

That would leave me with one hundred twenty thousand attack, defense, speed, and mana!

Not to mention that I had access to the essence of life which when maxed would give me another hundred thousand points!

'The future is promising!' I exclaimed joyfully in my mind before turning my attention to the ants beneath me.

'It seems like there is no direct attack which correlates with essence,' Although that disappointed me greatly I had a feeling that essence would affect abilities.

Wanted to test my theory I formed an ice spike in my left hand and a fireball in my right.

The destructive power of both of them didn't seem to increase much if at all but a surreal scene appeared after they completely formed.

The bright and clear ice that normally came out when I used the frost ability had a totally different nature.

The ice was pitch black and instead of see-through, I couldn't even begin to pierce through it with my senses.

This surprised me, after surpassing level 100 I could feel changes in the wind and pick up on things I would have never thought to be possible but in front of the dark ice, it was pointless.

Turning to my right I focused my attention on the fireball and it astonished me more than the ice!

The reddish, orange flames that had always appeared became a blinding demonic purple.

Unlike the ice spike that contained the darkness within it, the flame was constantly growing stronger and stronger as it fed on my mana.

I had to glance at my status panel to see the number decrease at insane speeds.

It went from consuming tens of mana a millisecond to hundreds and thousands.

Before I knew it I was about to be completely drained of all my mana in less than a second.

This was absurd to think about but I didn't even have time to consider what the result of my actions would be.

While my mana neared zero I quickly threw the two abilities towards the soldiers that were still stationed under me as curiosity filled my face.
