Chapter 29: So much XP! (2)
Frost: What you touch becomes part of your domain.
It wasn't simply the attack they had to worry about but rather the effects of the ability.
Once I placed my hand to the ground everything that I could supply mana to was turned to ice.
This not only includes the terrain but also the bodies of the soldiers and beasts.
The grass, leaves, branches, and trees looked as if they were in a snow globe.
It was quite literally a winter wonderland.
The sun was beaming down onto the planet as if it created a surreal scene of majestic dominance.
In the center of this destructive ability stood a single being while all those around him were frozen statues.
A devilish smile appeared on my face as I lavished in the downfall of all those around me.
Taking a singular step forward all those who were still alive could only shudder.
Maybe it was from the cold of the ice piercing them or it was from the chills of me turning my attention to them.
However, before I could take a second step a shattering sound was heard behind me.
"That was amazing!" I hear a voice call out.
Not even bothering to turn around I say, "That took you longer than I expected."
A chuckle was released from the person before saying, "Well, it was a lot stronger than I expected. How is it you got so much more powerful in such a short period of time?"
Shaking my head as I think back to how I accidentally technically ended the war and completed the mission I simply say, "I'm just regaining the power I lost." After all, what I was saying was somewhat true as I lost all my mana.
But since I was able to add a bunch more, I got back the mana supply I once had.
Although if I hadn't lost it in the first place I would be twice as strong.
"The power you once had?" A voice repeated.
Now turning back to look at the being I say, "Watch now as I show you what getting stronger really is."
Willow the one who easily broke free from the ice prison even though she was the closest to me could only shake her head as she prepared for something that would shake her to her very bones.
Now turning back to move towards those who were still breathing I made my way to the beast that was the nearest to me.
This was a giant oversized tick. This blood-sucking monster was currently covered in a sheet of ice unable to move.
Although it was a higher level than me the ability was still active while the defenses of the bug were slowly breaking down.
Even though I stopped supplying mana to 'Frost' its effects hadn't diminished in fact it grew stronger.
The attack of the ability was the exact same as it was when I first cast it however because the internal temperature of all the creatures around me were lowering it made 'Frost' more effective.
This then doubled down its prowess as it was impossible for them to escape from the layers of ice thus continuously lowering the body temperature of all those affected.
It was the ultimate trap.
The longer they were in it the hard and hard it became to get free.
Now standing in front of the tick that could only look at me as it tried to stare deep into my soul I rose my hand.
"I have nothing against you, your sacrifice will not be in vain," after that I simply touched the ice shell that covered the beast which caused it to shatter into billions of pieces.
But it wasn't only the ice that shattered but also the tick itself as its skin, muscles, blood, and bones broke apart as if it was glass.
With the crumbling of the monster, all that was left was a puddle of red but if one were to look closer they would see come sparkling crystals. These were of course the body parts of the beast that were practically turned to dust.
After doing this I ignored the overflowing messages that had appeared on my status window since I activated the 'Frost' ability.
I instead then turned my attention to the next beast that was still breathing, although barely.
This was the praying mantis that was seen earlier standing over a level 50 warrior.
The warrior was of course too low of a level to survive against the ability but the monster was still alive.
'This is surprising, why was this monster able to live?' I questioned in my head before my thoughts were answered as I used 'GOD'S EYES' on the mantis.

Seeing the ability of the mantis I couldn't help but drop my jaw in awe.
Based on the stats of the mantis its ability 'Aroma' must have activated as its defense was practically double all its other stats.
'That's a one in a trillion chance of having that happen and this beast in front of me was lucky enough to get this insane ability to activate but unlucky enough to come across me.'
Once again I just flicked the ice that cover the mantis before it shattered into another puddle.
Unable to hide the smile on my face as I wondered just how many new abilities I would be getting I quickened my pace to go around and finish off all the other humans and monsters that were still alive.
Once I finished sometime later I completely ended the 'Frost' spell which caused all the ice to shatter and break into microscopic pieces.
Due to this all the beasts and humans that had already died in the ability that I hadn't personally smashed all shattered at once.
Within the once beautiful forest that was fruitful, the only thing that there was to be seen was space, as everything affected by the ability was brought crumbling to the ground.
