Chapter 15: One Phone call!!
It has been a while since Reay started searching for the GPS location of her watch using satellite signals.
The GPS signal that her watch produced has been established in the screen but to the slop side it's not the active signal. The signals showed in Reay's lap screen must have been the last recorded signals from her smartwatch.
It seems to be the recorded signal from a couple of hours ago. The signal showed the last active site of Armelle's watch, which was a nautical distance from their ship.
"I think Armelle's watch is not producing any active signals," Reay said noticing the panic-written faces of others.
"Her watch must have got damaged. I guess!" he continued.
"Is there any other way to find her?" Noel voiced out her eagerness. Though it might have been only a few minutes of their friendship. She felt a bond between her and Armelle.
"I don't think of having any other ways. This might be the only way to locate her all around in this mighty blue." Drey replied in a low tone hoping to find their friend again.
"Let's ask the captain to go to the place where the signal has been lost,"
"Just continue monitoring her lost signal Reay; We might find the signals again!" Zyaire stated firmly with eyes full of determination.
As their eyes fixed on the PC screen nothing seems to have changed in the screen yet. But keeping their hope up they waited for her watch to produce active signals praying to the Almighty.
Reay kept on refreshing the screen just to know the signals are produced again. It's not so much for them to do, since their friend's life is at stake. Reay tried some other ways to search for the lost signals but nothing helped them but anxiety, slowly taking away their hopes of finding her.
Armelle's watch got damaged when she wrapped her hand around the wood log which was a blessing to her at that moment but not really. It was due to the speed of the water current that carried the wooden log hit her when she swam against the water current.
Soon, Reay and Zyaire informed the captain about the last recorded location of Armelle and asked him to direct the ship in the direction hoping to find her somehow.
Everyone stared at the pointer which denotes the ship, slowly started to move towards the direction of the last active spot of the Armelle's watch.

"Dr. Han, I think we should request the captain to get back to the shore. At least we should make sure that other students are safe. The media has telecasted the news. But as we have requested, they didn't mention the student's identity." a woman in her late 30's spoke.
"I don't think the others will get back. Even if we order them Ass. Prof. Liza" Dr. Han replied to her in grief, sighing.
"The university and the marine department are in complete chaos. Let's hope to find them in good health Dr. Han; report to me if anything serious. We are eager to hear that they are safe." Ms. Lisa replied.
"Sure, let's put up our hopes and wait for the good news from the kids, and the rescue team." Dr. Han replied and he ended the call.
"A research student from the reputed university of state X has gone missing in the western sea.
The reported student and their crew have gone into the sea to collect samples for their research.
During their return, the ship has got stuck in the Nova cyclone and the female student from their crew accidentally fell into the sea.
The sea guards and patrols are doing their best to rescue the missing student!"
"SBC news – ken" the news has got telecasted in the tv channels and the entire media turned their attention towards the missing girl.
The news was reported to the press and the news had gone viral on the internet. People started to construct their own stories and started to spread various rumors.

"Try to contact the ship captain which Armelle and her crew sailed." a man spoke watching the news headlines on the TV.
Before the other person could talk, he spoke again. "Get the chopper ready Rex!" he added.
"Don't worry man. I'll do it." The man on the other line replied with a comforting word.
"Thanks, Rex!" He replied with warmth hoping that nothing should go wrong.
Meanwhile, Krith, "Reay, this is my watch. Please have a look at it. It's the same model watch as Armelle's. And, one more thing." Everyone turned around eagerly waiting to hear what she is going to say.
"It is the limited model edition which is specially tailored for us. It can be used to transmit the location when we are in danger but for that a button need to be pressed. It's been a while and I got completely forgot about this option until I checked my watch."
"It is like a watch with the GPS transmitter but to provide Privacy we asked them to make it this way!" she said as her voice lowered to almost a whisper as she struggled not to cry.
"I should have prioritized privacy and let it be. Oh God! What have I done???!?!" Krith said in a low tone as she started to whimper closing her face with both of her palms.
"It's okay, Krith. It's not your fault. Get a hold of yourself, girl. Let's not lose hope, we can find her for sure" Drey comforted Krith with secure words, patting her head to make her calm.
"Come on Krith. Let's all pray for her safe return. We know her, she is an excellent free driver. She will not give up on her life so easily. Keep your spirits high!!" Noel spoke with alleviation as she hugged her.
"Look here, guys!!" Reay spoke spotting a button on Krith's watch.
"I think this is the button, get back your hope guys. It is in an easily accessible position. Let's wait a while. I'm confident we can find her soon!"
This hidden feature was going to be the lifesaving thing for Armelle now.

The helper of the ship came to the basement cabin asking for Krith.
"Krith you have been called by the captain." The helper spoke making everyone baffled.
Drey accompanied Krith to the captain's cabin. Since Krith wasn't emotionally stable at that moment.
As they were waiting outside the captain's cabin and he asked them to come inside pointing to the phone receiver denoting that someone was there on the other line to talk with her.
As Drey accompanied her she entered the captain's cabin.
"Hello?" she spoke as she kept the phone receiver near her ears.
"Krith!!! Have you been well?" a voice echoed from the other line. The voice she heard made her tremble in unexplainable feeling of joy and sorrow. Voice struck her throat as she said, "Zaike??" as a vivid image popped up inside her head.
Drey: "???"
